The Situation
A certified financial planner (who also just happened to be an attorney) wanted to set up a side business offering a service to attorneys to help evaluate the cost basis of financial instruments left in an estate. As a CFP, he had the right tools for the job, and he could easily determine the cost basis. Most attorneys, when they see the decedent’s relative get out of their car carrying a box overflowing with stocks, bonds, real estate deeds, etc., start to cringe, as they only have so many days by law to settle that capital gains tax due, so the CFP knew he had a good market. His goal was to grow his business to $100,000 in 12 months.
The Solution
Our client did not have a lot of money, and he certainly did not have the time he knew it would take to focus on getting this side business started. So he contacted RES to develop an “easy” lead generation system to help him achieve his goal.
